Poison Prevention Awareness Month

Sometimes our kids can get into some "under-the-sink" chemicals that can be harmful to their health and our pets with plenty of time to roam on their own can get themselves into trouble too.

Poisoning is defined as an injury or death due to swallowing, inhaling, or touching various drugs, chemicals, venoms, or gases. Smoke inhalation is one of the most common causes of minor poisonings. This month take some time to make sure harmful chemicals and substances are out of reach of your furry friends or in a secure location. When using cleaning chemicals or poisons for pests or other uses, be sure to find pet-safe options or keep your pet out of the room for the entire duration of use.

March is the month of safety so take some time to keep your furry friends safe!
