You don't have to play with them for an hour all at once, naturally, cats are active in short bursts so you can split play time into 10 to 15-minute play sessions.
Some great ways to get your cat moving around is through toys that stimulate their hunter instincts. Motorized remote-controlled toys that zip around like small prey help capture their attention to pounce and chase. Feather toys or cat teaser toys can help work on your cat's eye-paw-coordination and help them leap up in the air to catch the feather.
